Who We Serve

We serve just about anyone, but it depends on our project or program who our target audience is. All of our work is geared to prevent the spread of diseases between animals and people using a comprehensive, One Health approach. This means we also must consider the environment that facilitates the transmission of diseases between animals and people.

In our educational efforts, we serve the general public to inform them about the need for providing basic veterinary medical care services to pets as a primary way to prevent the spread of diseases between pets and people. We also inform the general public about the role that wildlife can play in spreading diseases to people and other animals that then impact human health. We use our research to provide the basis for our educational activities. To find out more, visit One Health.org (coming soon).

In our outreach efforts, we reach out to key stakeholders to inform them of the problem of diseases spread between animals and people and work to form relationships with them to further our mission in preventing the problem. To find out more, visit One Health.org.

In our health care efforts, we serve dogs and cats owned by needy individuals. To find out more about this program, please visit Vets on Wheels.org.
