Vets on Wheels is a program of The van Bakeren Foundation, which directly helps to prevent the spread of diseases between animals and people (aka zoonotic diseases).
How does it work? We send a veterinary team into different communities to provide wellness veterinary care services to dogs and cats owned by individuals in need.
But that’s not all. We also inform people how they can protect the whole family (furry or otherwise) from zoonotic diseases. And with the clinical data we collect, we can show how many animals are affected with diseases that can also spread to people and assess how effective our clinical service programs are.
